Jon is a Technical Director at Resonate Consultants, bringing more than 20 years of experience across environmental acoustics, architectural acoustics and wind energy. Known for combining analytical rigour with practical problem-solving, Jon’s work spans complex modelling, advanced noise measurement and data analysis. His contributions to noise-modelling accuracy and low-frequency noise research earned him the 2013 Australian Acoustical Society Award for Excellence in Acoustics.

Jon has authored almost 20 conference and journal papers covering topics such as amplitude-modulation detection, low-frequency noise, meteorological effects on noise propagation and specialist facility design, including electron microscope environments.

Jon recently returned to Resonate after several years as Chief Technical Officer at Ping Services, where he led the development of an IoT acoustic monitoring system for detecting damage and ice on operating wind turbine blades. His return brings together deep technical expertise, industry innovation and a renewed focus on delivering high-quality acoustic consulting outcomes for clients.
