Emma is a Senior Acoustic Consultant with extensive experience in building and room acoustics across Australia and Sweden. Her multidisciplinary background, combining architecture and engineering, gives her a unique ability to bridge the technical and spatial needs of clients and design teams.
Emma has contributed to a range of high-profile healthcare, education, and commercial projects, including the New Women’s and Children’s Hospital, and several major developments at Helsingborg and Sahlgrenska Hospitals. Proficient in a range of acoustic and architectural software — including Odeon, Rhino, Revit, CATT-A, Treble, Bastian, and Grasshopper — Emma integrates digital workflows into her consultancy work. She has developed custom scripts using VBA and Grasshopper and has prior teaching assistant experience in MATLAB.
Emma’s passion lies in architectural acoustics, with her master’s thesis in Sound and Vibration focusing on the acoustical environments experienced by musicians on stage in various concert halls. She holds a Master’s degree in Sound and Vibration and a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from Chalmers University of Technology.
Her work has been published in several technical and research outlets, including:
- Stage Acoustics in Concert Halls: A Study of Musicians’ Acoustical Environment (2015)
- The Bovall Folding (2015)
- The Importance and Influence of Detail in Room Acoustic Calculations (2018)
- Vibration and Airborne Sound in Repurposed Buildings: A Case Study of a Drum Kit in a Music Classroom (2024)
In 2013, she received first prize in the Hans Eek Sustainable Building Competition. Emma is also a 2024–2025 participant in the 500 Women in Property program, where she actively supports professional development and network-building for women in the built environment.
