We’re a great place to work on many levels

Chloe Nicholson joins us as Business Support

Our reputation of being an accredited Great Place to Work™ precedes us and sees us regularly attracting the highest calibre of talent. This has contributed to us being able to welcome Chloe Nicholson into our Business Support team recently.

As an acoustic engineering and vibration consulting firm that employs a client-centric focus on operations, having the proper business support is paramount. Not only do processes and procedures become enhanced, but communication also improves, ensuring everyone from the acoustic consultant to the client is on the same page.

Chloe plays a crucial role in ensuring that operations pertaining to client invoicing run smoothly while also providing valuable compliance information. A highly experienced professional, Chloe brings a diverse skill set to our award-winning acoustics firm.

Starting her career in administration while studying design, Chloe worked for a small family business in the vocational rehab space. ‘I was there for a few years before working my way up to managing the admin team before taking on a key role within finance,’ Chloe explained.

In her next role, Chloe worked as part of a small team for a mining company, focusing on everything from administration to accounts receivable and accounts payable. After later working for a construction company specialising in stone masonry, Chloe opted for a new challenge— starting her own design business.

Designing stationery and signage for weddings, Chloe’s dedication, skill and hard work culminated in pop-up spaces at two Westfield shopping centres. ‘While business was great, I was ready to return to an office and work as part of a team after a few years working alone,’ Chloe said.

With a thriving business providing the necessary financial support, Chloe was discerning in her job search. ‘I wasn’t desperate to start work, so I was really looking for the right job in the right company where I thought I could contribute well,’ Chloe explained. ‘The first thing that struck me about Resonate was that the team wants to work together. Working in a team and feeling like you’re contributing to the bigger picture is a big reason why I joined. I can see why it’s one of Australia’s best workplaces,’ she added. great place to work chloe nicholson

The collaboration witnessed by Chloe is another one of Resonate Consultants’ core values. By working as a team, individuals gain deeper and broader knowledge. For clients, the benefits are clear too. ‘Everything feels like it’s coming from the team as a whole, so clients benefit from the knowledge of a handful of consultants and the extended team.’

With the idea of connection forming such a key component of operations at our award-winning acoustics firm, communication and collaboration are fostered on a daily basis. Whether through programs such as Slack or larger initiatives such as how the office is structured. ‘I have never worked where everybody is so close together. Everybody can essentially sit in the same room; it’s like working independently and being in a big meeting simultaneously. We are always asking questions or looking to help each other out,’ Chloe said.

Relishing the atmosphere and work satisfaction of working in a team, Chloe is already showcasing her expertise and experience in her new role. With a commitment to streamlining processes, Chloe is working with data inputs to glean valuable and meaningful information that can be used to make processes more seamless for consultants in the future.

This commitment to making colleagues’ professional lives easier has been a trademark of Chloe’s career. Whether working in the vocational rehab, mining or construction space, she has looked to implement new processes or systems, all while being aware of how employees may react to change. Rather than simply implementing change, Chloe takes a different approach. ‘When adapting to change, I like to work with people and help them feel supported. It’s a real mix of being patient and kind but persistent and firm,’ Chloe said.

Despite still learning the internal and external processes associated with the business support function, Chloe is determined to expand on her ability to help her colleagues, our clients and the company. ‘I haven’t set my sights on anything other than being good at my role for now, but I would like to be the kind of person who can offer support in spaces when and where it is needed,’ Chloe explained.

One such motivating factor for looking to the future has been the positive female role models at Resonate Consultants. ‘It’s nice to see women contributing to a business in such a meaningful way. It’s quite inspiring to see women in these key roles and know that there are opportunities for me to be considered a leader in and around where I am working in the future,’ Chloe said. great place to work in adelaide

When she’s not using her creative brain and professional skillset to problem solve or implement new processes, Chloe’s outlet is singing. From being hired at weddings and events with her band to teaching singing to school kids, Chloe’s passionate about using her talents for good.
