With a background in hospitality and tourism, Isabel has spent the majority of her professional life in customer service, aligning perfectly with one of Resonate Consultants’ core values. Her hard work has led to many management roles worldwide, whether employed in an airport, conference centre or hotel.
‘Even at university in Spain studying Business and Tourism, I knew I wanted to travel,’ Isabel explained. ‘When I was still completing my degree, I travelled to the UK to improve my technical English proficiency. I have since worked in Ireland, Singapore and Switzerland and I now call Australia home.’ 
Post maternity leave Isabel decided to take on a career change and she joined an engineering company as a business administrator. Looking for a more flexible arrangement, Isabel then approached Resonate and got attracted by the strong foundational values of the organisation.
‘I researched Resonate Consultants before joining. Their award wins— both for client service and workplace culture— were drawcards. During the interviews, it was clear that team members were approachable and welcoming. Plus, we are an innovative company, providing a challenge I was hungry for,’ Isabel said.
A self-described people person, Isabel brings her unique skillset, ensuring that aspects ranging from accounting to wellness to admin are correctly researched, implemented and managed. ‘I really love working at Resonate Consultants in the Melbourne team because of the innovative and caring environment that the company nurtures,’ Isabel explained.
Isabel’s adept multitasking and problem-solving skills, honed through years of high-pressure experience at an international airport, enable her to manage diverse responsibilities effectively. Tasked with assisting the team and passengers, her role necessitated innovative thinking and seamless terminal operations. All of which she transferred to her new role with us and buoys the team to uphold their best performance and client service.
‘Working in such vibrant environments means that I adapt to situations instantly. I feel responsible for ensuring that everything goes smoothly. I care for what I do both at, and outside of work’ Isabel noted.
For Isabel, this care and passion play out daily. Along with Lucy Torr and Chloe Nicholson, Isabel is a member of our internal wellness team. Implementing initiatives such as taking part in STEPtember, attending plant-based cooking webinars and encouraging the use of the Headspace app, great care is taken to ensure our acoustic engineers’ wellbeing.
‘The team need to feel cared for and looked after, and I take that job seriously. This comes instinctively, often as straightforward as checking in on someone’s wellbeing or offering assistance when needed.’
While Isabel has been infusing processes and practices with her own valuable approach, she has been excited to expand her support across a national team. ‘I love interacting with people and embraced the challenge that our team members are spread over three state head offices. I notice that this doesn’t hamper our systems of communication.’
Having spent just over a year in this new role, Isabel is now setting her sights on the future. ‘I would like to be more involved with processes such as onboarding new staff and organising training. I have 
This enthusiasm for exploring new experiences also extends to Isabel’s personal life. With a passion for travel, discovering new cultures and cuisines, learning different languages and attending musical theatre shows, Isabel is all about embracing something new.
